The Similarities Between Baseball Pitching And Cricket Bowling

A member of my discussion forums started an interesting thread comparing big league pitcher Tim Lincecum and Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest cricket bowler in the world.  Akhtar has bowled a 100 mph ball before, not in this clip, though.

Also of note: In the thread, Chris O'Leary made the point
that according to Brent Rushall and Dick Mills, authors of the pitching book, "The Science and Art of Baseball Pitching," the hips and shoulders of cricket bowlers rotate at the same time. Yet these clips show Akhtar's hips rotating well ahead of the shoulders. Both these guys in the clips are studs!
